All government prosecutions are politically motivated at some level or another.

If politics is the measure for pardons, then anyone who pleads “not guilty” and is in jail deserves a pardon.

It’s actually good that the median CEO doesn’t have a 24/7 security detail in the US.

It’s kind of shocking that so many people are listing after the failed state aesthetic.
A serial CEO killer would be an interesting plot twist on the final season of America..

Kaiser for All fixes this
The thing about the US health industry is that we’ve segmented different roles into different private institutions, which has allowed us to assign insurers all the really unpleasant roles, and then we pretend that if we got rid of the insurers (or murder them!) there’d be no problems

I have multiple health diagnoses requiring active management.

I’ve been denied claims before. Never have I thought about killing an employee at an insurance company.

I just paid the 4-figure debt and moved on with my life.

Ah, nothing like opening the notifications to find dozens of angry commenters calling my centrist takes stupid and illiterate. We are so back!

Socialist healthcare schemes also deny claims. From personal experience: government healthcare is even stingier than private companies.

Biden better steal a Supreme Court seat for us after pulling this crap.

To both win back male voters the left should tone down overt misandry.

For example, family planning is often framed as a “the men are taking away women’s rights” but a 2024 Pew Poll shows 61% of men support abortion vs 68% of women.

I voted no on Prop 6 and yes on Prop 36.

I’m not a low information voter.

I’m a voter who tired of seeing merchandise locked up, shoplifters walking out the store with near-impunity and militarized guards with weapons strapped to ballistic vests when all I wanted to buy was an avocado.

I’m a neoliberal, I hate the idea of tariffs.

But if Trump can fix the opioid addiction issue, without causing RX drug shortages, I’ll have to reassess my priors.

Maybe we should start listening to the abundance folks with avocados in their bios.
the Avocado Rebellion is nigh
This is going to be an absolute mess y’all.

*TRUMP SAYS TO IMPOSE 25% TARIFFS ON ALL MEXICO, CANADA GOODS

Giving people deficit-fueled tax cuts means there will be more people chasing the same imports.

We’re going to have hyperinflation, aren’t we?
".. During a radio interview Saturday .., Bessent said 'tariffs can’t be inflationary because if the price of one thing goes up -- unless you give people more money -- then they have less money to spend on the other thing, so there is no inflation.'"

Hedge fund executive Scott Bessent survived an internal squabble over the role of Treasury secretary, a key position that will face almost immediate deadlines and pressures.

The Grand Old Predators are in disarray.

Trump isn’t even president yet, and he’s already wasted 1 House seat.

If we want an iron dome – or really any other advanced piece of 21st century urban infrastructure – we have to embrace urban density.
Great question: no. Thanks for wasting our time.

Ok tired of dealing with censorship and casual racism at X (apparently “cis” is now considered a slur by Elon).

So let’s see what this site is all about.

I’m already noticing the user experience is so much better.
