I hope depriving Cuba of oil just ends up turning them into a renuable energy powerhouse. I'm not sure how quickly they could speed-track that kind of a process, or how much energy they'f have to get through the transition, but they seem like a very resilient people and I wouldn't put it past them.

I have a really hard time believing that so many people are as completely morally bankrupt as it appears, despite all the evidence affirming it. Part of me wants to believe that many of them are under some kind of mass psychosis that they could someday snap out of, but maybe that's just naive...
