As someone who left for other (family) reasons, this is right. The fascist movement is transnational. No place is safe.
Few thoughts for people who continually talk about leaving the country.

1. Not everyone has that option or the resources and that’s not their fault.

2. In terms of solidarity it communicates you won’t be an ally if things get bad.

3. This is a worldwide movement. You can’t escape it.

On this day in 1930, a Czech Jewish boy was born. On the 6 Sept 1943, he was deported from Theresienstadt to Auschwitz where he was murdered in the gas chamber after selection. His name was Felix Landsmann
