The weather was very nice today and a couple of days recently, and they’ve started refreshing the grader lines around any paddock that borders bushland and planning “Using The VicEmergency app” info sessions for the community. Feels a bit like staring into the mouth of a dragon … yet again. 😬

It is actually so hard to get photos of just how lovely this time of year is out here, because no sensible camera would believe for a second how violently yellow the fields can be and my phone gets all confused. It never looks real in a photo, but it also never looks real in person.

One day, nearly 2000 years ago, a cat dashed across some drying tiles, somewhere near Hadrian's Wall.

It's immortality of a kind, isn't it?

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

I didn’t mean to leave the supermarket with anything alive and I do NOT understand how to handle plants that aren’t made out of glass, crepe paper, or fabric, but he was pretty and all alone so I guess it’s time I learned.
His name is Tom. Ato. Obviously. Look it’s been a long day.
