Studios and developers want instant financial success and cite media like Spongebob- a show that did not do super well in the ratings for two seasons and was granted a third anyway. This industry used to grant time and trust to let things develop, find a voice, find an audience, be marketed.
In animation we hear "We want the next Bluey". The cost of doing business used to be making a hundred shows to get a Spongebob. All the other shows? A lot will still make money, and the talent who worked on them could give you the next Bluey.
This makes me so angry - because this translates to "I too would like to make a lot of money"
