Government has published one of those quiet but important documents that might get overlooked as it is not 'newsy'. The headline finding is that £1 of public R&D investment generates £8 in net economic benefits for the UK over the long term

Nature-friendly farming boosts both biodiversity and crop yields — but scaling it up may need more government subsidies to become as profitable as intensive agriculture, a new study led by UKCEH and @rothamsted.bsky.social has found

proportional representation just makes more sense! #cdnpoli #election2025
Democracy shouldn't be a guessing game.

Vote for who you believe in—and get the representation you deserve.

Demand proportional representation!

Proportional representation doesn’t just change how many seats a party wins, but where.

Whether you're a Liberal in rural Alberta or a Conservative in downtown Toronto, you get the representation you vote for.

That's why we love PR-it bridges our divides.

Thank you, @jpedneault.bsky.social, for calling for party cooperation ahead of the federal election and highlighting how first-past-the-post twists and distorts our democracy.

It’s time for proportional representation.

76% of Canadians support electoral reform—so why are our leaders ignoring it?

@canadiangreens.bsky.social MP @morricemike.bsky.social is calling proportional representation, but partisan roadblocks stand in the way.

It's time to make every vote count!

Every Canadian deserves a voice in our democracy.

Let’s make every vote count by adopting proportional representation—where seats match votes.

No more wasted votes. No more distorted outcomes.

Ontario Election Day is today… Take responsibility and vote! 🗳️

We have what we have because too many stayed home on election day. 🤷🏻‍♂️

In June 2022, Ontario saw a record low turnout—only 43.53% of eligible voters cast their ballots. Let’s do better. Democracy works best when we all show up! #onpoli

New paper out on biodiversity in apple farming led by @robind6.bsky.social.
Organic farming had rather limited benefits for local biodiversity as compared to conventional farming, and effects were inconsistent across taxa. Semi-natural habitats were more important for biodiversity conservation.
