All the sodas started out as an attempt to stop people from touching themselves and a cure for “clotted eye” but now we all go “I love Doc Tipsys Chastity Tonic! It’s made right here in Rockville!”

The Trump-Vance admin has been committing illegal strike after illegal strike. They're trying to normalize it.

They're counting on you to lose track, to be too overwhelmed to remember the gravity of what they're doing.

But we're keeping track of every single strike.

So far: 22 strikes. 87 killed.
Tracking Every US Strike on Boats in the Caribbean and Pacific
The Trump administration is committing illegal strike after illegal strike. Don’t look away, and don’t lose track.

Today, I spoke with Kilmar Abrego Garcia and his wife, Jennifer. In April, when I met with him in El Salvador, Trump said he would never set foot in the U.S. again.

This case has never been about one man alone; if the govt can violate the constitutional rights of one, all our rights are threatened.

One of like three people who gave a shit about both Garcia and Khalil. I'd vote for him in 2028 just for that.

there is no good reason that solar panels should be three times as expensive per watt in the US than they are in Europe. i live at the same latitude as Tunisia it shouldn't cost $75,000 to cover my roof in panels

ICE now admits that hundreds of children were held past the legal 20-day custody limit set to protect their safety.

Five were kept for 168 days.

Some faced unsafe conditions and went days without medical care.

This crosses a moral line.
About 400 immigrant children were detained longer than the recommended limit, ICE admits
Legal advocates concerned over the prolonged detention of immigrant children in federal custody are sounding the alarm before the federal court. U.S.

It is hard to overstate how shallow and embarrassing the Washington Post Editorial Board's analysis is whenver it tries to write about the law. They don't make arguments so much as they crank out half-assed jumbles of buzzwords that they hope will make Jeff Bezos happy. Don't care for it at all!
The Washington Post Editorial Board Is Spectacularly Awful at Legal Analysis
Since Bezos overhauled the board earlier this year, it has been very good at cranking out billionaire-friendly propaganda. It is quite bad at everything else.

Being a member of the CPC is basically meaningless— but if you want to make this sort of intra caucus appeal then maybe Goldman shouldn't have voted for a Republican resolution to censure the only Palestinian in Congress, who is literally also in the CPC.

Trump sent Vance there twice. He threatened to cut off all federal spending to the state. He vowed to back primary challengers of any Republican who voted against him here. He posted their names online, prompting his fans to send them death threats.

But all that failed, so now he wasn't involved.
Reporter: The senate in Indiana voted against the redistricting effort.

Trump: I wasn't working on it very hard. I wasn't very much involved

It's actually pretty brilliant. They can make $100M a year doing absolutely nothing, producing no value whatsoever. It's pure evil.
Here's the full-circle scam

Ultra-wealthy PE's and bankers buy politicians who promise not to tax them

Politicians instead borrow from pension funds to pay for public infrastructure

Pension funds go insolvent and get stuck yield-chasing

Pension funds have to invest in funds managed by said PE's

These ridiculous mega-projects like "datacenters in space" (doomed by thermodynamics) make a LOT more sense when you realize they're massive Ponzi schemes designed to transfer wealth from pension funds to VC's through "fee stacking."

It's the old Assets Under Management con. It should be illegal.
