Honestly, I'm just here for the cat pictures and bi-weekly "bluesky is dying" threads.
I'm glad @xkcd.com still does these. Every couple years I end up googling "randall munroe wife" just to make sure she's still ok. xkcd.com/3172/

Never fall for the scam that letting these llm merchants sink and die hurts anyone except the venture capitalists trying to manufacture consent for everyone else to subsidize their monumental failure at their own jobs
One explanation for economic populism in the US is the recurring cycle of bubbles and bailouts that happens without any democratic input

Senators on the brink of retirement who lived full, wealthy lives and never feared the loss of their own healthcare voting for their constituents to die from their inability to afford the same is treasonous

Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

There are few people of whom you can confidently say "their decisions killed millions of people. They could've decided differently and millions of people would have lived." But you can say it about Dick Cheney.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

The same ghouls who tortured Anthony Boyd to death tonight will screech and holler about how pro-life they are. Hypocritical ghouls. I hope they rot in the ground without an afterlife to wash away their mortal sins.

We’re not dealing with brilliant strategists cleverly laying traps, we’re dealing with impulsive whiners whose advantage is contempt for laws, norms, and morality.

They’re not pulling some elaborate trick, they’re just willing—even eager—to do things regular, principled people consider off limits.
