It’s baby octopus season 🐙🦑
Saw this little guy last night with the Salish Sea School in Anacortes, WA as part of their free community dock walk I volunteer as an interpreter for.
We can tell it is a giant pacific octopus from the single line of chromatophores on each arm.

Word to the wise: it looks like the MN Highway Patrol is doing targeted enforcement on 94 through St. Paul and presumably other nearby areas. As I was driving past where they pulled somebody over on the westbound side, they were also in process of pulling somebody over on the eastbound side.

It's a great cosmic joke that neurodivergence both runs in families and gets diagnosed based on parent reports. I was diagnosed at 30 because a man who has eaten potatoes every day for 57 years and a woman who collects loose buttons decided I was a perfectly normal child.
