Season is quickly coming to an end here on the icecoast. Our wonderful mountain #massanutten is working hard to get a few more days in.

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day. Since there is no more approved teleWORK, I took 8 hours off and was able to enjoy this bluebird day.

NIH doesn’t just support infectious disease research—it drives breakthroughs in cancer, childhood diseases, heart disease, diabetes & more.

Thanks to NIH, we have:
💉 Cancer immunotherapy
❤️ Cholesterol-lowering statins
🩸 Insulin for diabetes

Investing in NIH = investing in life-saving discoveries.

Having a conversation today and realized something - Fed funding is often on a match basis, or it helps underpin a program that can use additional fundraising on top of that core. For instance - meals on wheels gets about a third of its funding from the Older Americans Act Nutrition Program.

It appears this is true…. SMH
The Trump Administration’s hiring freeze has led the National Parks Service to cancel job offers for seasonal employees. We are concerned this could leave our parks understaffed during the busy summer season, which sees over 100 million visitors annually.

Huge thanks to the best series co-directors (and spouses), along with our awesome judges for the first two slopestyle events to kick off the season at 7Springs for the Appalachian Series, USASA. Lots of smiles all around even in the snow and fog. #weareusasa #usasa #Columbia #neversummer

Kat Tenbarge interviewed me about the migration to Bluesky among journalists.

It's easy to see why it's happening.

It's easier to find news, harder to spread disinfo, trolls don't drown out the good content, and links are not deprioritized.

It's a breath of fresh air for journalism to thrive in.
Journalists flock to Bluesky as X becomes increasingly 'toxic'
Journalists are finding more readers and less hate on Bluesky than on the platform they used to know as Twitter.

If social media can tell every retailer exactly what I like and don’t like, I’m certain they can figure out if someone is under 16.

Jennifer Hudson’s take on jingle bells for the win, and whoever figured out how to have the backup dancers hold the very red macys umbrella should get a bonus. Watching the Thanksgiving Day parade.
