And I’m seeing a disgusting amount of disbelieving…. Oh it isn’t that bad. Oh this program or that program won’t get cut…. Do people not think critically anymore? Cuts are possible, if there is adequate planning.

You would be wrong. A non profit has fixed expenses, building rent, power for food storage, etc. So that cut must be disproportionately applied to variable costs, meaning much more than a third of the meals will be cut.

IF those federal funds get cut immediately (these are not direct funds like social security or Medicaid), you would think it’s only affecting 1/3rd of the meals provided, right?

Forgot the biggest one, revenue from tariffs, which is a hidden 25% sales tax.

And Medicare has the lowest reimbursement rates, so if we go to Medicare for all without creating a new risk pool and reimbursement tables, we won’t have enough doctors in business to handle the demand.
