Cela fait 1 an que Stéphane Crouzat a annoncé quitter le poste d'ambassadeur #climat. 3 mois que Kevin Magron, qui assurait l'intérim, est parti pour l'OCDE. L'année des 10 ans de l'accord de Paris, et à 8 mois de la #COP30, personne n'assume plus cette fonction...

Water supply of strategic Baltic island Gotland was sabotaged last night.
Someone broke into the pump controls and destroyed them.
The pumps serve a large part of Gotland (pop 61k) and had it gone unnoticed could have left all island without water.
Security services are notified. Water is ok.

Quite the marmalade-dropper, this: 3 weeks before Germany's election, Angela Merkel has issued a statement criticising her own party for enabling ("with open eyes") a majority with the AfD. Effectively accuses Merz of breaking his pledge not to do so.

Tough day for German politics that feels like it crept up and then happened very suddenly. For the CDU to actively seek a majority with the far-right and in many ways extreme AfD is Rubicon crossed with no way back.
