Seems like a good day to remind everyone that Trump’s ex-wife Ivana wasn’t an American citizen until 1988. She gave birth to Don Junior in 1977, Ivanka in 1981, and Eric in 1984. — Let’s cancel their birthright citizenship first.

Good thing neither Trump nor Musk is known for rage-posting like a drunk, dyspeptic badger in the wee hours of the morning. So I’m sure this will all stay calm until tomorrow morning.

Most of the world sucks put loud these days. However, you can just feel the joy and love in these magnificent beasts, and it fills my heart.

Go follow the good people @sheldricktrust.bsky.social and maybe donate a few bucks, if you can, to support the amazing work they do.

The protests are not for Trump to see, they are so you can all see each other and grow. It's not the protest itself that tyrants are afraid of, but the networks and community you can grow from them. Your strength is your unity and that's why the enemy thrives by demoralizing and dividing you. #3E

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

Strong, independent journalism without the kneebending or moon smooching.
🧵 THREAD: In the second Trump administration, we’re devoting a significant part of our staff to detailing dramatic changes in the role of the federal government in the lives of Americans.

Here are some of the issues we’re watching — and how you can inform our work.

"May your coming year be filled with magic & dreams & good madness. I hope you read some fine books & kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful & don't forget to make some art - write or draw or build or sing or live only as you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself."
