Look into building a Corsi/Rosenthal box. Great family science project and they really, really work. Depending on the size of the room/house, you can get 6-9 room air exchanges in one hour.

But I think the ARRT is missing the point here. It's not fair that techs prior to 2012 are exempt from this. Everyone should have to refresh their skills every X number of years.
