My husband is NOT a lawyer, but HAS dealt with some aspects of the hypothetical situation.

My husband didn't have an absolute answer - it was a complex question. But he was able to say "that absolutely won't work for reasons X, Y, and Z."
Note that the person posing the question had previously asked a lawyer who declined to answer, as it was outside of his field of expertise.

And, for me personally, the insistance that all of this is totally secular, totally *unconnected* to the celebration of Jesus' birth, that only a grump wouldn't participate, is one of the most uncomfortable things about it.

It doesn't have to be ancient to be thoroughly Christian. And it doesn't have to be religious to be part of the celebration of a Christian holiday and alienating to non-Christians

During my tween/early-teen magic phase, I went to see a Penn and Teller show and chatted with them after. I asked their advice about being a magician.
