Cleaning up my office & took down this pic Zo made for me. I never looked at the back when I hung it with a pushpin in my office a few wks ago. Lovely note, still has me choked up. We lost their dad to cancer when Zo was 3, so that's the "alone" part. Lucky to have this kid, for sure. ❤️

heads up to anyone who holds trans kids near: amy harmon from the nyt is searching for and having a hard time finding people to interview to find out exactly what trans kids are doing when their care is limited or cut off, and for purposes of community safety, please shut the fuck up around her.

One thing that we all have seen is that you can be a busy, important person and STILL use alt text on your images. IDC if it's a staffer doing it or what, but it's important to provide context, details, and accessibilty. We can all follow suit. 🙏🏼

One thing that we all have seen is that you can be a busy, important person and STILL use alt text on your images. IDC if it's a staffer doing it or what, but it's important to provide context, details, and accessibilty. We can all follow suit. 🙏🏼

My youngest came out as gender fluid and now goes by they/them. Was worried that I would not be ok with it. I've only ever modeled acceptance, so if my kid who lives with me is worried, it's no wonder that other children in less accepting situations might also be.
