Taking sad songs and making them better since 1986.
Conan rules.
Will Arnett was on Conan and told a story about how Conan dealt with the death of his parents by accusing Jason Bateman of killing them. It’s so funny.

No shame. If I had 10 kids...I'd probably agree to come out of retirement and have NFL players beat the hell out of me...just to get out of the house a bit.

I love that Zohran did not praise Cuomo in his speech. You absolutely do not have to say nice things about bad people. We should normalize that in “polite” politics: Praising bad people is not actually “civility.”

Good on ya, MLB.

Gotta love a Jeff Tweedy concert cause he blows your brains out for a few hours and you’re still home by 10:45.

That’s the way it’s meant to be.

So friggin true.
There are a lot of election ads on and Democrats still don’t know how to talk to voters. They’re still using big words and rising number graphics and all that 90s shit. You gotta talk to people like they’re fucking cavemen. HIM AN ASSHOLE. IS HORNY FOR CHILDREN. Shit like that

in light of the kimmel news, just a reminder that a few days ago a prominent fox news host literally called for killing homeless people. right afterward, someone shot up a couple homeless encampments.

that fox news host still has his job.
Brian Kilmeade endorses euthanizing homeless people: "Involuntary lethal injection, or something. Just kill them."

I’m a little stunned at how much I enjoyed the Billy Joel documentary on HBO.

Five plus hours over two parts seemed absurd and by the end I was sad it was over and would gladly watched five more hours.

If you refuse to endorse the overwhelmingly popular Democratic nominee for mayor of America's largest city, you should not be leading Democrats in the U.S. House
Hakeem Jeffries again declines to endorse Zohran Mamdani, saying "I don't know him well."

CHRIS HAYES: Why are you not endorsing the guy that won the democratic primary in a contested election in your backyard?

JEFFRIES: I didn't get involved in that primary election, and I don't know him well.

Steve Miller Band - The Joker.

Lord, I hate that song.
Fuck your favourite song. Tell me your least favourite song. The one that makes you die inside the moment you hear the first 3 seconds.

Imagine being part of a floundering political establishment at historic lows in favorability, seeing this guy's absolutely infectuous energy, and deciding to try to stop it through an array of embarrassing media appearances and editorial blunders.
Shooting our videos is a little bit different now.

Sadly the current right-wing coalition government in Finland has cut the funding for the nation’s “Housing First” success story, & homelessness is now on the rise again. That just reinforces the fact that such programs work, if political ideology doesn’t stand in the way. ysaatio.fi/en/news/home...

Yes, Finland had solved the homelessness problem. But then, a bunch of right wing politicians gained power and decided that they don’t want that kind of wellbeing anymore, it doesn’t fit to their idea of society.

I love that the morally and ethically correct approach to most issues is so so SO many times also the economically correct one and STILL we actively go "no we aint gonna do that" for no reason accept distaste for those less fortunate than us
“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.

In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

I was outside for approx 12 mins this morning to drop my kids off at a summer camp. The amount of sweat that poured off of my body in that short amount of time is truly absurd and disgusting.

I guess I'll go outside again in October.
