Judging from what I’ve seen about the Hawaii fires on Twitter: disaster Twitter isn’t just dying, it’s pretty much already dead.

Another striking thing about disaster Twitter post-Elon: it’s moving MUCH more slowly than it used to.
When I search the same Hawaii fire queries I last searched for about 12 hours ago, I’m getting very little new info - and much of the “new” stuff is more conspiracy trash.

Checked Twitter for more Hawaii fire updates this morning: the top results are still largely conspiracy and QAnon swill.
Twitter is now an exponentially less useful tool for disaster updates than it was just a few months ago.
