To celebrate the release of Dilemmas in the UK, Foyles asked me to write an essay about Yamamoto and her life and work.
It's up on their site now, and I'd love it if you gave it a look—I love this book, and I'm so excited to have a platform to talk about it

Tashikametan is a turtle who promotes the Labor Standards Bureau. He uses a scope attached to his mask to check employers are being fair. He’s a surprisingly fast runner, but because his shell is heavy, he can’t get up if he falls backwards.

i think an especially depressing part of this whole saga is that "we need to win primaries so establishment dems are replaced by true progressives" is a thing we've done before but one of the progressives we worked hard to install over the establishment pick was fetterman

When @katewagner.wehwalt.net recently dubbed Trump's Oval Office aesthetic as "Regional Car Dealership Rococo" she was devastatingly correct.

I been on a photography rut, motivation been an all time low.
My standard got higher this year and I just look at my photos and get disappointed. Finally got around to looking at my photos today and found this. It's not gonna get much attention but I like it. 🪶

Very depressing election results last night (hence the nightmares? Peut-être!)
Under Mayor Val Plante, #Montreal became famous for bike lanes, pedestrian streets, + green spaces.
Despite what Soraya Martinez Ferrada and her candidates say, people didn't vote for change for the better in last night's election.
They voted to *stop* change.

I can’t really defend this on any level, but I think believing in vampires is more reasonable in some place in Canada compared to others. Believing in vampires if you live in Montreal is reasonable. There are no vampires in Calgary.
