Not to be alarmist, but please be prepared for many gov services to vanish or be horribly downgraded in the months to come. While continuing to push national and local electeds to hold the line, think about non-gov groups that are supporting folks in your community and consider how to support them.

I recently took our middle kid to DQ for lunch and ice cream following an orthodontic visit. As we were ordering, a lady, about my age, approached my daughter and said, "My dad took me out for ice cream too." I turned my head and saw an elderly man holding the door for her 🥰

Been looking for a new position to jump into as I'm getting laid off tomorrow - i don't exactly have a huge network on here though!
