My mom came across my middle school social studies teacher, who was my favourite teacher, and one of the few I didn't clash with. I think I last saw her in 2007? I had been meaning to reconnect with her for so long to update her on my career and my mom did that for me and im not crying ur crying

I think I've asked this before, but if so, the answer may have changed since then:
Is there a browser extension that detects whether a publisher has both epub and PDF versions of a book/document, and automatically switches the view to PDF.
Most publishers default to epub and I don't want

Issue resolved

Uhh I think the publisher removed one of my course textbooks from online access through our library? In the middle of the semester??

I've requested help from a librarian to see if it is on our end.

Can anyone open: www.taylorfrancis.com/books/edit/1...
or any of its chapters?
Being Indigenous | Perspectives on Activism, Culture, Language and Ide

Honestly one of my birds of all time. The pink spatula.
Oxford English Dictionary has a bit more on it, giving historical spelling variants of spartle, spartel, spattle, and spatyl(l), getting closer to spatula as you go back in time!
I also found on OED that the roseate spoonbill was once referred to as the rose-coloured spatula.

Fun fact about BrettC: Technology Ethics was one of the first college/university courses I took. I hated it at the time, so much so that I stopped doing the work and got an F, but it's really guided a lot of my thinking ever since.

OVER A MILLION USERS

DISCUSS SUICIDE WITH CHATGPT

EVERY *WEEK*

what the fuck are we DOING here
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

If I have to write a whole ass series of documents in order to get ethical permission to ask people about what languages they used growing up , surely we can expect a sliver of ethical consideration from companies making robots who can say just about anything to anyone at any time, right?
