Today at Parliament I revealed the Police accredited two Destiny Church offshoots as “wellness providers” and over the last year have referred 20 offenders to them for anti-violence rehab. This is crazy and has to stop.

Citizens Arrests, for when you don’t want to actually invest in front line policing, like you said you were going to.

But at least landlords are ok, that’s the main thing

If you want to direct your anger at Destiny Church, rather than sign multiple petitions on overseas websites, support the petition open at Parliament #nzpol

Petitions are addressed to the House of Representatives and ask that the House do something about a policy or law, or put right a local or private concern.

The Regulatory Standards Bill is another attempt by Act leader David Seymour to prioritise corporations over the collective rights and good of the public.

Anything rising in price in terms of infrastructure, services, public health or other necessary parts of civil society: BAD

House prices rise for the 500th consecutive month at a rate far above any inflation for the whole time: NECESSARY ECONOMIC ACTIVITY FOR THE HEALTH OF THE NATION
Please, I beg you, news media folk, stop describing increasing costs over time due to fairly standard economics as "cost blowouts".

Public services have not suddenly added extra treats for themselves to the budget, things have become more expensive, and this isn't the fault of the public services.

If you had to choose, I'd give Tory Whanau durable power of attorney over my personal finances over Simple Simeon Brown every day of the week

Re-skeet if you agree.
Like if you're just existentially exhausted by all this nonsense..

I recall Wellington in early 2023 as BUSTLING. I remember being unable to get a table (because full) at a restaurant that is now blaming wfh for its woes, Cuba St as pretty jolly, and queues at popular lunch spots across the cbd.
It’s not wfh. Or lockdown. Or Labour.
IT’S THIS GOVERNMENT!

David Seymour took $107 million dollars out of the mouths of kids across the country, added another $46 million to it - and handed it to private schools.

The problem with Pākehā is that we're tight-fisted cheap bastards raised in a mindset of mustn't grumble, she'll be right, make do, Protestant cheap-arse bullshit dressed up as Frontiersman Machismo.

It's fucking pathetic. And self-defeating.

The austerity is worsening. Whaikaha, the Ministry for Disabled, just announced real funding cuts for services for carers and house alterations for 100,000 disabled people. thekaka.substack.com/p/bernards-s...

This is abhorrent and was done with no prior communication or engagement. Penny Simmonds should be ashamed!
Looks like National just gutted disability services funding... They changed what it can be used for that essential is a cut by stealth.

This coalition government is using Maori to scare racists whilst they take away rights for workers, defund the mechanisms that help to run our country and find as many excuses as possible to bring in big multinational companies to extract hydrocarbons that are boiling our planet! Don’t fall for it!
