First ever #knitalong I am taking part in and first ever toe up socks I actually managed to cast on the proper way. It is the Pixel socks from Maryna Shevchenko from @10rowsaday.bsky.social. I am not following all her advice, so the tension issues are on me! Really enjoying the whole experience!

If I finish my 2 wips, I will have 4 knitted sweaters. And that will be kind of too much. It's not cold enough where I live. And as I practice winter outdoor swimming, my sensitivity to cold is dwindling. Climate change is happening so fast! I no longer wear winter boots. I no longer need gloves. 🧶

Mental health crisis this Monday. Husband on the phone sees me in distress. "Phone your psychiatrist asap. Do you have a knit with you?".
My husband knows me well 🤗!
Went ❄️ water swimming, saw psychiatrist and now have a 🧶. Feeling much better!

Although. in this climate, it feels like fairly small potatoes to argue that, I don't know, artists and creators should be able to produce good work ethically and make a living at it.

I craft by season. In Fall and Winter I knit. In Spring and Summer I garden, embroider, and needlepoint. I can't wait to get back to this tablecloth (purchased at H&M) embroidery project. I'm stitching all the places that are not solid black.

I'm always inspired by floral embroideries on unexpected fabrics. This one is quite beautiful. I need to get back to my stitching. And there needs to be more hours in the day! 🧵🪡

I feel like test knitters should be treated like advanced readers in the publishing industry. It’s a great to get some advance reviews out there and people are often happy to do it, but you’re not relying on those readers to edit the dang book.

I fully agree with you on the mis-use of test knitters, and the importance of tech editors. I was thrilled last year with the sizing guide from @indigodragonfly.bsky.social and hope more knitwear designers get on board with it soon!
