First ever #knitalong I am taking part in and first ever toe up socks I actually managed to cast on the proper way. It is the Pixel socks from Maryna Shevchenko from @10rowsaday.bsky.social. I am not following all her advice, so the tension issues are on me! Really enjoying the whole experience!

More like for spring. Slip stitch patterns create a far more dense pattern than stockinette. Aka I had to repurpose my project into sth for spring/autumn.

Inaugurating a new Christmas gift #knitting trend: not sewing in the threads so you can easily custom-fit your knit to the recipient's taste and measure.I like using my stash for little Xmas gifts but the downside is that you don't have plenty of extra wool to make changes.

Really nice colours! Let's hope this knit works out fine. If it doesn't however, keep in mind that working fair isle with slippery yarn is very challenging. Below is a traditional Norwegian Selbu knit and it was not going well at all. Stranded colourwork with more grippy yarn, is easier. #knitting

So to end up this deep #sockmeditation I would need a man with a 43 shoe size jus like my dad. My man is 47, my son 41 and me 36.5, so we're not getting anywhere near a "let's see if it fits situation". You can't ask someone to test of sock of you have no 1/2

The dark green wool is Regia 6ply and the other colours are all from Rama (a Norwegian brand). Quite a Xmasy combo, aren't there? I like using my stash by knitting socks. #knitting #giftknitting
