I remember. But a lot of my fellow Mormons would rather imitate evangelicals than remember.
The worst of Mormonism is often just wholesale adopting ideas from evangelical Protestantism despite a total lack of basis for it in LDS theology. Like evolution denial or Biblical inerrancy.

I think Ric @ricst.bsky.social is talking about then-Senator Biden's role in ending the confirmation hearing of Justice Thomas and move on to a vote. It's a popular theory that if the confirmation hearing had heard more about the sexual harassment allegations that the vote would have failed.

Me, too. I'm 42, and find the views of my younger self to be embarrassingly reactionary. I wonder if it's different for people who see no more education after they graduate high school than for people who are life-long learners.

I'm listening to the very nuanced arguments at SCOTUS on the Colorado v. Trump (Insurrection Clause Disqualification) case.
I have no idea how the case will be decided, but I think that it is highly likely that there will be a dissent, no matter who prevails.
