It's unclear to me why the US Congressmen are not escorted by big armed cops to push through obstacles to them exercising their legal rights, and instead everyone now defers to the guys with no uniforms or badges or name tags to determine what is and is not legal?
In a lengthy exchange, with ICE Deputy Field Director Bill Joyce, Reps Nadler and Goldman are denied the ability to visit the 10th floor. Joyce says it's not a detention facility it's just a place ppl are housed for several days w/out beds.

Whoa! NYC mayoral candidate and current city Comptroller Brad Lander seemingly arrested at the NYC immigration court while attending to escort someone attending their hearing.
Lander just got detained by federal agents as he tried to escort a man out of the courtroom. Lander was taken in an elevator with masked agents, along with one member of his NYPD security detail.

BREAKING: A few minutes ago, a vehicle of three people was rammed by a truck belonging to federal immigration authorities in Boyle Heights, CA. According to security footage shown to me, they deployed chemical munitions & detained the driver at gunpoint. All are US citizens according to the wife.

There are millions of people on the verge of losing their Medicaid coverage, and for many of them, dying themselves, who just saw that reality get a little easier because three Democrats with cancer decided to run for re-election and died in office. George W. Bush was the worst President of the last few generations and it's really not close. what we in the US are (rightly!) up in arms about is that Trump is the worst President for us, specifically - which is a different thing
(Me, a genius) I see no through line with how George W Bush, who legalized torture through illegal means and illegally invaded a country and killed millions of people, is connected to the current moment
