So Speaker Johnson gave the congress another week off. Paid of course, while they shut the govt down.

The GOP has made it clear they have no interest in compromise with Dems. So they will have to figure how to reopen their govt that they closed.

And they get another vacation

In Germany, it's illegal to engage in racist talk in public, both offline & online. While the country's constitution protects freedom of speech, it also defines limits. Hate speech, including racist statements, is a criminal offense known as Volksverhetzung. They don't want to repeat Nazi history

But I was told by everyone on the right that the only person who could deploy the National Guard (or prevent the deployment of the National Guard) was Nancy Pelosi.

WE HAVE QUESTIONS…

This is a kidnapping. No uniform, no badge, civilian car. Who are they?

ICE? Sanctioned bounty hunters? Either way, they’re grabbing people without warrants.

How often is this happening, and why aren’t more people talking about it? Congress?

every single video I've seen of the hearing today, Democratic Senators (including ones I don't even like) were pounding the shit out of administration officials.

if the media will not play those clips, it's up to make them go viral, show our friends & family, etc.

They did something.
Reward them.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

I'm voting NO on the Republican shutdown bill.

NO on handing Donald Trump and Elon Musk a blank check to spend your taxpayer money however they want.

NO on cutting funding that helps families put food on the table and crack down on wealthy tax cheats.

We need to push back.

He will burn down whatever he can, however he can

Our systems of governance, rule of law, global alliances, even the Constitution.

Consumed by vengeance and greed, he is the greatest threat to our Republic since its founding.

We must meet this moment with the force of a thousand suns.

Or perish.
