Modelled a Makarov PB over the last few days. This one was a real struggle for me honestly. Just need to model the magazine now and it will be ready for me to throw into RizomUV and then texture.

Art is a means of communication. Writers, digital artists, painters, video game designers, voice actors, flimmakers, etc. they all put something into a work with an intention, even a slight one. That's meaningful and important, and AI can't do it.
If the writer’s eyes light up when asked, “why did the character do that?” then it’s real.

Got Doom 3 running on my steamdeck today. 13 year old me was absolutely obsessed with how that game looked. 39 year old me is still obsessed with how that game looks. The art direction and lighting in that game are really special.

I'm replaying Alpha Protocol for the first time in a few years, and it's honestly better than I remember. I *really* like this game, and I'm kinda salty that we've never gotten another game like it since (it's been 16 years).

Oh hey. I finished modelling the shotgun. Trigger, bolt carrier, bolt release, and the barrel are all separate parts for animation (long recoil action)!

Finished modelling the Gepard SMG. 2657 tris for everything including the mag and the bullets. Done with it for now until I get my hands on Substance Painter.

Redid the texture and then Blender lost it so I had to redo the model too. Ended up keeping it a lot simpler because it's a pack of cigs for a retro game.

Modelled some Soviet-era cigs. Texture is going to get thrown into Aseprite (when the army pays me and I can afford it), and crunched down to like 128x256 and assigned a more limited color palette.
