The enemy of my enemy is a RIOT at dinner parties.

I'm a 6-time published playwright, produced all over the US as well as Canada and the UK. Also a voice talent heard by a few million people... and I can lose a game of chess faster than anyone.
I'm not very active here, but if anyone happens to be looking at my account, I want you to know that I write a Christmas story every year and have done for the last 33 years. Number 34 can be found here:

I saw my first Cybertruck today.
It looks like a Saturday morning sci-fi show ran out of props money, and tried to make a FutureCar™️ out of spray-painted plywood. Very 7th grade tree fort.

A Spanish way of telling someone to stay in their lane, originally borrowed from a Latin phrase, is zapatero a tus zapatos. It means “shoemaker, to your shoes”

Am I happy about Trump winning? No. Do I think it’s the end of the world? Also no. We need to understand why a lot of people stayed home and how to better appeal to them in the midterms and the next presidential.

A YouGov poll of Republican voters in late October: Are you better or worse off than last year?
2/3rds of them: Worse.
The same poll, one month (one election) later:
Fewer than half say "worse."
So, for about 16% of GOP voters, economics are more of a mood than anything, you know, factual.

Played like a marlin.
I know that we're not supposed to be importing anything from The Other Place, but this is a masterwork that deserves universal acclaim.

What's the phrase I'm looking for.... oh yeah, it's "curse those greedy short-sighted assholes, curse them with boils which erupt in maddening whistles and sewer stench, curse them to a horrid, graceless existence."
Money meant to help sustain her was used to erase her. What terrible people.
A theatre company I painted sets for got grant money to stay open through Covid. With the grant money they bought a projector for backgrounds. They no longer need to hire a scenic painter. They use AI to generate the images projected. No need for a set designer. None of those friends call anymore.
has anybody written about pandemic friendships / relationships that evaporated since 2020

@maryscottoconnor.com I hope you received the Christmas story and that you have either already enjoyed it or plan to soon. Let me know if you didn't receive it and I will try again (I sent it to the same place I sent Mandy.)

Season's Greetings!

I write a holiday story each year--this year marks the 33rd such effort. "The Yule House" is free to anyone who cares to read it, and you should also feel free to pass it around. It lives here:

In a few days, I'll be posting a link to this year's Christmas story (an annual tradition going back 34 (?) years. But because there's a decent chance it'll scroll right by, may I also send one to the same address I used for the Mandy monologue?
