I love how Mamdani speaks about the progressive left wing as a party unto itself that Dems are welcome to. It reframes his politics as an open choice instead of an aggrieved minority of the Democratic Party. This is a lot more welcoming than purity tests, even for careerist Dems. Very encouraging.
