They weren’t overhauling any ancient system because that takes money. They took money away from the NWS, they didn’t provide additional funds to improve technology, nor any system. As usual, she’s lying.
Q: “Was this a fundamental failure of the federal government’s responsibility to keep us safe?”

NOEM: *blames the technology*

Drastic cuts to NWS and privatizing FEMA sure won’t help.

My senator's office is no longer accepting phone calls. They directed me to send an email on their form so I did. It is a dead link. The only way I now have to reach my senator is via envelope and stamp. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I‘ve filled all of the water basins and bird baths, and filled up the bird feeders.
My reward is lots of wildlife. It‘s hot and dry. Most wildlife are still raising babies, so they have extra mouths to feed.
For 2 days now, I have been greeted by recently fledged downy woodpeckers at the feeder.

How to fight censorship: cancel Amazon Prime. Want a movie? Rent one or buy a copy. You pay once and it’s yours. DVD and Blu-ray players work just fine. Starve the censors.
So, on Amazon Prime, they have censored the movie Robin Hood (2010) and removed the opening crawl where it's supposed to say:

“In times of tyranny and injustice when the law oppresses the people, the outlaw takes his place in history”.

In an absolutely devastating ruling, the Supreme Court has allowed the transgender military ban to go into effect.

This is shocking - the ban explicitly called transgender people dishonorable for being transgender. It is as clear as day soaked in animus.

i will say again that given the trajectory of the white house so far, strident opposition a la 2017 would have absolutely been the most prudent and effective decision and the absence of that opposition in the first two months made things demonstrably worse.

Yes. But they are missing that much of this has to be performative. That’s what Trump is great at and Dems are awful at.

You can’t just tell voters , you have to know how to sell voters.

Trump gives sales pitches, Dems show charts. One goes viral. The other is ignored and forgotten
This was the way.
