Trump spent the whole morning saying Democratic politicians should be put to death. Where are all the MAGA influencers who lectured us about political rhetoric after Charlie Kirk's assassination? I don’t see any of them condemning this. Is it possible they were full of shit? Gasp!

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

SNAP is probably the most effective federal dollar we spend in terms of long term domestic economic outcomes.

that isn’t why you should support it; you should support it because it is a moral imperative to feed the hungry.

but it’s why even a growth-oriented ghoul shouldn’t oppose it.

Elizabeth Warren on people who say Dems needs to tone down their rhetoric: "Oh, please. Why don't you start with the president of the United States? And every ugly meme he's posted and every ugly word."

It will never be comprehensible or forgivable that the man who incited a deadly insurrection and attack on our Capitol was able to run again and retake the levers of power.

It is insane, joe rogan. But you were warned repeatedly, yet you helped get him elected and helped let this happen. It’s good that you’re speaking up, but please be honest with yourself about the role you played here.

I hear a lot of democratic members of congress say “republicans privately tell me they hate this.”

Start naming names.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

We said there would be concentration camps if he was elected. They laughed at us and said we were overreacting. Now they are building a concentration camp in Florida. We were telling everyone what was obviously clear and their cult and head-in-the-sand obedience brought us here.

It’s a terrible bill. It will literally kill people. The most vulnerable among us will suffer as the wealthiest benefit. It’s perverse. I wish there were something I could do. But alas, I am only a U.S. Senator from Alaska whose “no” vote would kill the bill. So I voted yes. You get it.
