I'll never get over that felony convictions can bar you from voting but not running for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
A reminder as people go vote: Millions of people are barred from voting due to convictions.

In some states, this accounts for up to 10% of voting-age population! Just a startling amount.

Harshest are states with lifetime bans — you can lose your right for life for any felony.

But this is the larger point: It really is the GOP that did this. Want a villain? His name is Mitch McConnell. Want another one? His name is John Roberts.
Tl;dr: Everyone is angry at 43 GOP senators who were cowards & violated their oaths of office & should have been removed & barred from polite society forever. The rest is noise & misplaced anger at people who are not really the ones to blame for this national shame.

next weeks are gonna be butt-clenching as hell, but even if Harris wins, the US will still be a place where half the voting population is ok with fascism and that's, ughhhhhh, fucked up
50% of America views Trump as a fascist (which is why he's tied in the national polling, because apparently Americans are split on whether they want fascism.)

Big news: For years I've been investigating Jared Kushner's business deals with foreign governments. He's masquerading as an investment manager, but the evidence I've seen makes him look like an unregistered foreign agent. Rep. Jamie Raskin and I are calling on the DOJ to appoint a special counsel.

The Biden admin finalized a rule to make it easier to cancel subscriptions, which would be the most popular thing since ice cream, and barely bothered to tell anyone about it.

They should have had Biden and Harris do a press conference and told every Dem to talk about nothing else for days.

tonight Trump gave up the game when he said we go back to the alien enemies act of 1798.

It allows the president to

Arrest, relocate, or deport any male over the age of 14 from a foreign enemy country

Target immigrants without a court hearing

He’s coming for anyone he pleases.

One dynamic of this I've been tracking is this: Harris SHOULD NOT be talking nitty gritty abt Jan6 bc of the prosecution. Well, Cheney is the expert. And she speaks it well.

As she did, guy in back was nodding over and over.

This guy whose full time job is in construction just did a better job asking Trump about Jan 6 than every mainstream journalist in this country for the last 9 years, Chuck Todd should resign his job in shame and appoint this guy instead
