Utterly predictable and utterly horrific.

This is a longstanding, thoroughly disproven lie.

Vance is carving out a little niche for himself as the guy who tells vicious, racist lies about non-white people to massage the egos of white nationalists. And the *specific* lies he tells reveal he’s well versed in white nationalist propaganda.
Speaking at the Univ of Mississippi in Oxford, Vice President JD Vance claimed that when settlers arrived in the New World, they “found widespread child sacrifice,” adding that “Christian civilization ended the practice.”

A good moment to re-up this.
NEW: In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson listed 27 grievances to prove that King George III was a tyrant. We looked at how many of those now apply to Donald Trump. Have a good Fourth of July and pass this on.

I attended the No Kings protest in West Chester, PA. About 90 minutes before I arrived, this apparently happened: www.pottsmerc.com/2025/06/15/v...

I don't know whether the guy with all the ammo is MAGA, though it seems likely.

There are a lot of violent cult members, and some of them are local.

The Tea Party protests in April 2009 had about a third of a million people involved, and the political media treated it like a game changer for the Obama presidency.

The No Kings rallies were AT LEAST ten times bigger than the Tea Party protests. Will the press keep pretending Trump is popular?
Based on crowd-sourced records of No Kings Day event turnout, and extrapolating for the cities where we don't have data yet, it looks like roughly 4-6 million people protested Trump across the U.S. yesterday. That's nearly 2% of the U.S. pop!

Mobilized anti-Trump resistance is exceeding 2017 levels
"No Kings Day" protests turn out millions
Our unofficial estimate is that around 4 million people attended a protest event yesterday. Anti-Trump resistance is outpacing 2017.

The most mind-boggling thing I heard at a No Kings protest today was a 40-something white woman who yelled, "God save the King!" as she drove by.

It really is tribal; actual thinking does not enter into it AT ALL.

But I did see a fellow protestor holding this sign, which made my day.
