While I'm encouraged to see much more attention being paid to Brendan Carr's outrageous infringements on the First Amendment in his self appointed role as Lord Censorship, I would also point out that some of us have been screaming about him and his plans to attack speech that he hates for YEARS.

Y’all, legit question. I teach a class named “History of Gender.” It is, as one would expect, how gender has been expressed from early history to the present. I’m supposed to teach it in the spring. Part of me wants to. Part of me says it’s an unnecessary risk to me, my campus, & my students. HELP!

A bill in Arkansas would ban gender affirming HAIRCUTS for transgender youth.

HAIRCUTS.

This is a straight up North Korea state sanctioned hairstyle proposed law for youth.
GOP bill could ban hairdressers from giving gender-nonconforming haircuts to minors - LGBTQ Nation
The bill would allow anyone to sue someone who affirms a young person's transition, and it specifically mentions hairstyles.
