yeah it's basically used as a synonym for stern, humorless, inflexible (a cousin is "Puritan"), and then you just attach a bunch more vibes to that and boom you get "Calvinism"

It feels good when a mentor lets you read their recommendation and you realize you’re not a complete imposter.
The theological vocation is hard in a world (and church) which doesn’t value it, but I really have learned a few things and how to be more comfortable in my own skin.

Very rare to see someone lay out so explicitly that they do not consider "never again" to be a universalist creed. I don't know how people who talk like this can stand to look themselves in the mirror.
I'm struck by this clip of former Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz saying Holocaust education has backfired in part because people Palestinians as victims: "They think the lesson of the Holocaust is…you fight the big powerful people hurting the weak people."

I have the White Castle app, Crave Nation (don't judge me!) Like many apps it automatically subscribes you to emails.
So I was unsubscribing and there's a link called "GET HELP" at the bottom which I found hilarious
