Seems bad
Tucker Carlson interviewed white nationalist podcaster Nick Fuentes on Monday, sitting politely as Fuentes criticized the power of “organized Jewry in America.”

The earliest known example of ‘brain rot’ comes from Henry David Thoreau in his 1854 book “Walden.”
“While England endeavors to cure the potato-rot, will not any endeavor to cure the brain-rot, which prevails so much more widely and fatally?”

I did! A good paper, but an even more essential one is Gambetta/Origgi on Italian academia and the preference for low-quality work. Literally everybody I know who has read this and has experience in China has remarked on how useful it is.

Slavery analogy aside, the idea of a progressive tax code is that more tax burden falls on those with the means to pay it. A family with children has less disposable income than a single person with the same income and should be taxed at a lower rate.

I think it’s less that US debt is seen as riskier (default) as there is a strong desire to diversify away from exposure to the US economy and the dollar.
Normally, in a crisis, US gov’t bond yields fall because they are (were) considered the safest investment possible. Now, yield are suddenly rising. This indicates a couple things, but most critically: Risk premium for US debt surging. Investors view US debt as much more risky than the did a week ago
