When I say I create out of spite, I don't mean to spite AI or haters or disbelievers.

It's to spite every version of me that quit early.

It’s so cool that cities are like “pweeease only turn your AC on if you’re actively dying and don’t go below 79 🥺🤘🏻💗” while the AI nobody asked for is slurping up the power grid to make 1 image of a girl with 5 tits

very rare that an update from Gaza is good to hear — but WCK’s tenacious commitment to its kitchens there is that rarity

I just donated again to support their work and hope you can & will too
WCK resumed cooking in Gaza after our first aid delivery in 12 weeks. With new ingredients on hand, we’re preparing warm, carb-rich meals like pasta and hearty potato stews. The WCK team cooked nearly 10,000 meals on day one of resumed operations. #ChefsForGaza (1/2)

The public was 100% ready for trans rights just a few years ago.

What we’re seeing now is a massive shift in public opinion after a coordinated and expensive propaganda blitz, one that Dems happily ignored.

Trans rights aren’t new. We had them for years and everything was cool.
I just don't get it.

The United States is doing every single step one would need to do for a soft genocide.

And this congresswoman goes "maybe the public just isn't ready for trans rights, we have to consider that"

NO.

THE FUCK.

WE DO NOT.

Saw this on Instagram and thought this applies to art too. Not only are genAI “artists” stealing, but they’re also cheating themselves out of the benefits of creating.

The joy of the process, the complex decisions, the pride.

Giving up creativity for productivity is exactly what capitalism wants.

A lot of responses I get about ChatGPT and similar products is that they’re probably smarter/better than the average person. This kind of thinking is extremely disturbing to me. It’s the exact kind of anti-human rhetoric the AI companies want to encourage. Eugenics-style thinking

A major danger of LLMs is that humans are SO predisposed to attribute knowledge to any entity that uses natural language fluently. We cannot imagine that a machine that outputs natural-seeming speech/text doesn't have cognition. Brilliantly articulated by @emilymbender.bsky.social et al. (2021).

Incredibly disturbed to see that my favorite book tracking app, @thestorygraph.com, which has branded itself as an inclusive and ethical alternative to Goodreads (owned by Amazon), is now beginning to incorporate AI into the app. Please explain how wasting precious drinking water is worth this?
