We were promised that the benefits of capitalism would come at the expense of other people, not us

But we’re *all* “other people” to the people in charge

Signaling to the government that we didn’t give a shit about our neighbors’ health long as Disneyland was open was maybe not the greatest move.

This is the logic we agreed to live by when we agreed to let ‘er rip on covid. If you get sick, if you die, that’s no one’s problem but yours. As I’ve said from the beginning, this is an anti-societal choice that isn’t containable. Disregard for health safety was never going to just stick to Covid.
It is a consequence of intentional editorial decisions about what "news" to cover and what to largely ignore that Trump's recent decision to have people across the U.S. get cancer, developmental diseases, become infertile, and die is not felt as a "public safety" emergency.

“Nobody owes you anything” is a social philosophy, not an isolated incident. And if you live under it, sooner or later, you will suffer for it.

What most people think of as "Covid" is merely the display of symptoms resulting from infection, not the disease itself, which does lasting harm. Unfortunately, that harm is frequently unseen in the short term, leading people to erroneously imagine that they have "recovered."

When they talk about the symptoms of a new sars2 strain in msm, they are describing the acute phase, on purpose. They are not describing the disease. Imagine they did the same for any strain of HIV.

The ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 is both a problem of disease and a problem of morality. When most people are thoughtlessly unwilling to practice necessary safety measures for the common good, such as wearing respirator masks, it is clear that collective morality has utterly failed.

Mainstream media needs to stop pointing out what "RFK Jr. gets right," because there are many, many trained public health officials who get the same things right without all the batshit crazy eugenics and woo.

If you lost money to the instability the oligarchs created in the markets over the last few days...

...that money didn't just coincidentally disappear at the same time billions magically appeared in the oligarchs' bank accounts.

👉That's your money.👈
Imagine that. Is there any doubt in anyone’s mind they were tipped off?

They are laughing at us all.

Oil is bought/sold on commodities markets

Most buyers do not buy oil & then take immediate delivery

Instead they buy "futures" -- they commit to buying oil IN THE FUTURE at a given price

The worldwide price of oil is a direct indication of global economic activity

IOW this is bad for the future:

if it gets bad enough for futures, it might end up being good for the actual future. prices aren’t the only thing this metric measures

I missed this Nazi symbology in the DOGE logo:
- has the Nazi golden gear component
- has 8 stars + 8 stars (88 is code for heil Hitler)

Musk used 14 flags reposting Trump saying anything is legal if in support of his country. 14 represents a white supremacist slogan

Totally on-brand for public health to try & punt the responsibility to the individual (being fat, drinking) when the responsibility lies entirely with public health's failure to protect the public health

Hey, Vivek Murthy, you know what's a much bigger driver of cancer than being fat?

It's uncontrolled viral infection

The implications of this took me a while to understand

But the gist is that neither insurance companies nor hospitals make more money if patients are happy

Happy patients do nothing for a hospital or an insurers bottom line

There is NO monetary advantage to having patient satisfaction
