Any disabled (wheelchair user, with not-great lungs) ppl out here ever tried to learn the flute and might have some tips for someone about to start that journey this week?

I've done a bunch of research into adaptations and aids that might help but won't know until I start trying basically.

I feel like we did all that work on basic accessibility for screen readers beyond alt text for Twitter and then people just... forgot it all.

Don't use special characters in your display name. Don't do ASCII art because it's hell on screen reader users. etc.

things you probably heard a lot as an undiagnosed autistic kid:

“you’re so sensitive”
“calm down, it’s not that urgent”
“no we can't leave yet”
“just hug them, they’re your family”
“im not letting you bring [item]”
