1. Andrew Cuomo, a frontrunner for NY Mayor, has tapped an ex-employee of "the Coalition to Protect Kids," an anti-trans org, to serve as his treasurer.

His campaign would not commit to EITM that it would protect gender affirming care.

The disinfo on trans issues is so bad. It's ubiquitous and largely unchallenged.
I can't remember the last time I saw an article just focus on this. Not that they've bent the truth or misrepresented a few facts a little, but that every single solitary thing that the GOP says on the topic is a stone cold lie with absolutely no basis in reality.

NEW from me: With House Republicans passing a partisan, damaging continuing resolution that gives Donald Trump and Elon Musk free rein to continue to strangle appropriated spending, Senate Democrats have to decide whether they will actively participate in their institution's own destruction.
Senate Democrats’ Choice: Block the Republican Spending Bill or Dissolve Congress
The House’s continuing resolution would effectively hand over spending decisions to Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

Anyone find it funny how when the UK releases the Cass review to ban trans care, we get everything ranging from New York Times push notifs to op-eds in every major US paper...

But when Germany, Switzerland, and Austria release pro-trans youth care guidelines, not a single article anywhere but mine?

I keep hearing people say Trump is dumb for firing immigration judges just as he’s trying to dramatically ramp up deportations.

It’s only dumb if you assume they plan to respect due process for those they deport.

I think “ominous” is the better word.

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall.

They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.

Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them.

I think about it a lot in moments like this.

I’m concerned you think I said he waved his hand, and it looked like a salute. I assure you, that’s not the case.

Please don’t forget this. It’s why civil rights groups took so seriously the proliferation of hate speech on the platform in 2018 & 2019. And he would sit in our meetings wide-eyed like the Rohingya had not been massacred, and Muslims in India set upon after posts inciting violence on his platform.
A reminder that when the cynical and now MAGA-friendly Mark Zuckerberg makes claims about alleged Biden administration pressure on FB over Covid misinformation, and screams 'Censorship!', he's also the guy who admitted his *uncensored* company played a big role in inciting a *literal genocide*:
