It's truly wild to me that my eye doctor can take a picture of the inside of my eyeball and see evidence of a scar on my retina, most likely from when I fell as a toddler and needed stitches on my skin.

California voters (myself among them) vote yes to counteract other states' gerrymandering. Of note, Prop 50 only lasts through 2030, when we'll go back to non-partisan districts based on new census data.

I'm annoyed I waited to get the most recent COVID vax because my workplace scheduled an onsite clinic for Nov 4. And now I've tested positive for the first time. 😡 Thankful for paid leave. Everyone should have it.

I've got an op-ed in @calmatters.org today about SB 79 and "local control." If a city's policy decisions hurt people outside its borders, then it's the state--not the city--who should be given the final say.
