Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

Fund the veterans not the billion dollar defense contractors.
Instead of funneling endless amounts of money into our bloated Pentagon budget while thousands of veterans face homelessness and hunger, let’s use those funds to truly take care of our veterans — ensuring every one has a home, food, and access to medical and mental health care.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

The Repubs were only going after immigrants who were criminals but they went after far more. Now they’re “only going after” people who are fraudulently receiving healthcare. Can you trust them?

The question is answered in the video.
If Mike Johnson is refusing to call the House back into session during the shutdown, then we’ll do the work right here the Bronx.

The New York Essential plan is being eliminated entirely next year due to the GOP healthcare cuts. People’s lives are at stake.

And that’s why we’re fighting back.

100%…Citizens United opened the door for overt corruption.
The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate.

The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns.

Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care.

The list goes on and on.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

With the narrow passage of the Big Ugly Bill, H.R. 1, in the Senate, it now heads back to the House.

The VP had to break a tie and strong-arm the bill through the Senate — another sign of this bill’s deep unpopularity. It is NOT a mandate of the American people.

Just a warning for anyone visiting Rhode Island. May is not that not the month to be here. It’s gray and wet most of the time. Temperatures barely make it into the 50s F. More often than not Memorial Day is a washout requiring a hoodie and rain jacket.

You’ve been warned.
