Disney owns ABC. I can’t afford to take my grandchildren to Disney theme parks so I guess it doesn’t count as much of a protest if we boycott “The Happiest Place on Earth”.

I accidentally sparked a fire mowing dry grass in rural California and was immediately faced with 6-8’ flames. I was able to put it out. It could have turned into a disaster.
Folks often assume that sheer number of wildfires in West must be linked to intentional arson--despite abundant evidence to contrary. But this partly stems from profound underestimation re: just how easy it can be to spark a fire under right conditions... www.nytimes.com/2025...
A Fish Falls From the Sky and Sparks a Brush Fire in British Columbia
Officials say a flying osprey dropped its catch, which then struck power lines, causing sparks that ignited dry grass.

It makes one wonder if all the ground up tire residue from wearing out tires is connected to allergies and the sort?
Yes. Just drive along the highway and note all the discarded semi-truck tire debris on the road. Surely driving until your tires explode creates a bit of PM2.5, but you don’t hear those folks complaining about that. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨🔋

The only way to think different is get out of your comfort zone and read something different. Muslims are not our enemy. Ignorance and prejudice are our enemies.

Just think of it as a volcanic eruption having a really bad hair. Highly charged ash/air provides the potential differences that drive these massive lightning strikes. Wuderbar!
🔥Volcanic lightning - an electrical discharge caused by colliding particles of ash and ice rather than from a thunderstorm.

Truth be known, DOGE was really in it for our data. The kids at DOGE will come to be known as the Fathers of the Police State.

This is yesterday’s news and tomorrow’s reality.
Things the president of the United States said on meet the press today:

He doesn’t know if he has to follow the constitution

He’s fine with a recession

Americans can do with less

Small businesses are just “a couple of little businesses”

Like I said.
Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

I wonder if they would survive a properly designed Electro Magnetic Pulse from upper atmospheric fusion weapon or would there be any one or anything left on Earth to receive such data?

Welcome to our immediate future weather. This morning’s low at 7800’ in the High Sierra was 9 degrees!
A strong ridge of high pressure is over the SE U.S. and will intensify to record strength (pink colors) on Thu-Sat. This ridge will lock the jet stream into a “stuck” pattern, resulting in repeated rounds of thunderstorms with torrential rains over the Central U.S. (image from polarwx.com/models/)

All eligible anti-rump voters in Wisconsin should sign up. It will make the data less reliable. Especially independent voters who are starting to understand the errors of their ways.
How is this okay?

DOGE is just getting dumb and dumber. This will only serve to make Social Security recipients mad and madder.
Acting Social Security commissioner Leland Dudek threatened Thursday evening to bar Social Security Administration employees from accessing its computer systems in response to a judge’s order blocking the U.S. DOGE Service from accessing sensitive taxpayer data.
Federal judge pushes back on acting Social Security head over threat to close agency
Leland Dudek argued that a ruling blocking Elon Musk’s cost-cutting team from access to sensitive taxpayer data could apply to all employees.

We need to rewrite the First Amendment. You can’t shout “fire” in a theater. I don’t believe you should be able to broadcast Russian propaganda on social media or via cable or internet news and I don’t believe AI generated images of pedophilia are free speech by anyone’s definition.
Seems like people can justify any crime they want these days just by pretending the use of AI makes it into something else.
Possession of AI-generated CSAM may be protected by the First Amendment in some cases, a federal judge ruled in February in an opinion that’s flown under the radar.

Now, federal prosecutors are appealing.

Measles is among the most communicable of all viruses. The R factor is 20. This means that for each person with symptoms 20 other people have already been exposed. Measles does exhibit herd immunity. It’s one and done. It can be devastating for the unborn or people with compromised immune systems.
