LADWP spent a fortune to rewater the Lower Owens River. It harder than you think.

I think traditional democratic voters are tired of being treated like ATM’s while the party bosses make decisions based on seniority and longevity. Vindeman’s election in N Carolina is a case in point. Americans want candidates who can win elections not just because it’s their turn.

I honestly think is about the whole polling culture, test groups and talking points. All we do is end up bland candidates that don’t stand for anything. Mark obviously is a good man. We need more than one good man. The Democratic Party needs an overhaul starting at the top.

I accidentally sparked a fire mowing dry grass in rural California and was immediately faced with 6-8’ flames. I was able to put it out. It could easily have turned into a disaster.

Progressives should start calling themselves New Deal Democrats. Our platform and message should be that we support Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, housing and heathy food for all, full stop. We need to stop letting the fascist and establishment Democrats define who we are.

Malcolm Kenyatta is so busy listening to the pollsters and triangulating his own path to success he actually doesn’t stand for anything. I’m sure he fits in with the rest of the Democratic Central Committee just fine.

I’m getting tired of the “set up” White House media events where people get ambushed with preset talking points. The meeting with dingle berry from El Salvador comes to mind.

My honest take on things is that “political influencers” spend more time triangulating their own prospects for power than the public good. I think it has become an endemic problem in both parties.

It seems to me that genetic diversity and population genetics are the least understood topics in popular science. Venture capitalists get Mendel and then go off trying engineer drought resistant corn completely blind to the complexity of multi-gene phenotypes either that or dire wolves.
