The American federal government is no longer legitimate. Whether you decide to become a revolutionary is up to you. But if your reason for opting out of the fight is that fighting would be inconvenient, you have a major defect in your character.

America's ills stem from the notion that it is the government's responsibility to cure social ills. By doing so, it encouraged its citizens to see those ills as someone else's problem and guaranteed a government whose primary function is to hand out spoils rather than protect its denizens.

The leftist delusion is that if only those evil nasty Other People are politically defeated, we can have Heaven on Earth. But a government big enough to create a Heaven is also big enough to create a Hell--and there is no way to prevent such a government from doing so.
