Seeing lots of posts about spikes in Americans wanting to flee to Europe. I'll be honest, I've thought about it, too. But the thing I keep coming back to is: if I have the privilege and means to escape, I also have the privilege and means to fight back. I'm not the one they're coming after. #resist

On Friday, Nov. 22, Gov. Josh Shapiro announced he directed PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll to flex $153 million of federal highway capital funds to SEPTA immediately.

News: Gov. Josh Shapiro addressed SEPTA's funding shortfall at today's press conference: "I want to make very clear, I will not let SEPTA fail." But he punted on a specific q on flexing federal highway funds to the agency, only saying to stay tuned in the coming weeks.

Since I've accumulated a bunch of new followers (welcome!), I thought I'd re-share this essay about J.R.R. Tolkien and "generative A.I." from last year. The references have dated a bit, but my central point stands: Tolkien would have viewed A.I. as a sin against both God and Creation, and so do I.

Folks should BE MAD that he didn't more for this election not only on the federal level but the STATE LEVEL. We just barely have majority in the House and aren't any closer to getting control in Senate. Where is he?????
