Jenna has been an inspiring colleague I’ve been honored to work alongside this year. It needs to be known after putting us through the longest shutdown (they say in official emails, “democrat-led” like how desperate), on Day 1 back to work they are putting people on admin leave again.
Trump’s HHS put me on “non-disciplinary” admin leave today. This was retaliation for speaking up. Moves like this are designed to silence us. Let’s not let.

I guess I am hitting a nerve, because they just put me on admin leave.

I can further confirm that @jenna-m-norton.bsky.social is experiencing retaliation by “Free speech” Jay and the Trump administration.

@standupforscience.bsky.social stands with her and will continue to support public servants who speak out against the harms of this administration.
NIH program officer @jenna-m-norton.bsky.social has been placed on admin leave, sources say.

Norton has been outspoken about the Trump administration's dismantling of science, and she signed the Bethesda Declaration.

We are more than happy to have a factual discussion of what is happening to US science and medical research.

But their actions show that they don’t want to have that kind of discussion with us.

If the Trump administration wishes to censor us, they can try.

But it’s a sign they have no actual rebuttal to our points. If they had facts they’d use them to persuade people. They’re not doing that. What’s coming out of the Bhattacharya NIH is instead censorship, and lies.

I am one, but it’s not about me: we have been speaking out because of the ongoing damage to US medical research, cancer and Alzheimer’s research.

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.
