Glad to be here flying the friendly skies. I love anything woo, being in nature, my fur babies, the Oxford comma, and double negatives. I’m never not gonna be pissed about this✌🏻

If women ran the world there would be a lot less war but a lot more countries not speaking to each other.

Asked the cards today for symbology to help interpret the energy I’m feeling in the air. Oof the cards do not mince words do they? #tarot

My plea to the masses:
* Please stop taking the liberty of putting onions in food
* Please stop using Times New Roman font
That is all. Thank you.

I know, I know I keep posting about this but it’s too important to ignore!
Highly encourage everyone to read this book.
Cannot stop thinking about how Octavia Butler wrote a book in 1993 about climate change. It opens with deadly fires in LA in 2025. In the story, a fascist President has just won office with the campaign slogan "Make America Great Again."

She was a modern day Nostradamus. If only we'd listened.

If you haven’t read Parable of the Sower yet, now might be a relevant time. It helped me wrap my mind around what’s happening now. The LA fires, pleas for private fire fighters, compounded by climate change denial and the election, things have escalated rather quickly.
“Parable of the sower”predicted this very thing.

We dug up an old Krups coffee pot from the attic with no excessive ambient lights, no timer—just has a good old on and off switch and it’s glorious.
I don't want my fridge to have a camera or Wi-Fi. I don't want my dishwasher to be smart. I don't want my washing machine to text me.

In fact, I kinda miss knobs and dials and knowing big appliances would last 20 years and could still be repaired.

This pattern hasn't changed much, has it?
In 1979, Jimmy Carter installed solar panels on the White House. In 1986, Ronald Reagan tore them down along w/Carter’s clean energy funding.

This sums up the difference between the two men & political parties. Investing in solutions for the future vs canceling progress to score political points.

"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all."

During covid I lost concentration to read. Now the cobwebs are out & the attention span is back. I have this strong urge to build my library & honestly, I felt the same sense of urgency from the other shoppers in the store. This sense of
“Quick gather all the books before they’re banned or burned”
Libraries matter now more than ever. They stand for the powerful idea that knowledge is free and belongs to everyone. In a time when books and free thought are under threat, we must defend and support our libraries and librarians—they are guardians of access, learning, and freedom.
