If you ever want to take a trip down memory lane of what it was like to use appallingly slow computers at school, go to any library in Islington and live it out in real life. I think I've been at a black screen after trying to log in to print stuff for about 5 minutes.

Every week specifically when I finish a tempo or interval run workout i look at the data. On one hand it would be great to faster. On the other - i didn't think this would be in a million years.

Did my first bit of dt today in a workshop since secondary school and it was terrific.

I forgot to note down what kind of wood I used but it made the pillar drill start smoking when I was going through it. Seems great though.

Fireworks in london are annoying atm but I remember when I was working naples in 2013 and the DIY Fireworks were going off, and they would genuinely rattle your window panes and ring your eardrums and I'm thankful by comparison.

bad news: I lost my shokz headphones. They were really good and I thought id put them safely away in my bum bag but theyre now gone

Good news: my slow runs at a sustainable rate are actually lowkey getting quite quick even after an evening in which I had 2 beers and 2 oily rags.

Trying to hype myself up to go for a run by reading about 'porosity' which explains small pinholes in welds on cheap bicycle frames, so interesting.

Both of these triangle bandages are the same size. But one is an ex army compressed cube, and the other is in a more modern plastic sterile dressing. Interesting to note the difference. The cube is a bit more compact but then is somewhat less sterile and waterproof than the plastic one.

Written up a blog post about cycling and first aid.

I have never seen any first aid courses or products being much talked about in cycling media. I would highly recommend this be something you at the least think about

I’ve been carrying a compact first aid kit in a hip pack for a few years now. It comes with me while cycling and running, and when I’m out at work too. I’ve used it a few times no…

London turns on the back of these relatively cheap singlespeed bikes. They're about £299 new from decathlon or less from other places, let alone second hand. They're made of the cheapest steel. But you can lock them up with two D locks practically anywhere and theyre still cheaper than 45 days TFL.

I learned some very cool things from the first aid course I did this weekend. Not just from the syllabus, but as secondary info from other trainees and our tutors.

The instinct of this government is ever further restrictions on civil liberties. It is authoritarian at its core, and at this stage needs to be opposed by anyone who at all considers themselves a progressive.
NEW: Home Office announces planned new anti-protest powers, mainly aimed at pro-Gaza protests like those for Palestine Action. Police will be able to consider the "cumulative impact" of repeated protests and potentially order that they be relocated.
